Prerequisites
Before being accepted into the Professional Coaching Course (PCC), applicants must have completed or be registered for one of the prerequisite courses.
The most common way to fulfill the prerequisite is the two-day Coaching to Excellence (CTE) class that is available in several cities around the country. It provides an important grounding in the foundations of Integral Coaching. Also, it gives you an opportunity to get to know us and gives us an opportunity to know you. Alternatively, coaches who have some experience already may choose the three-day Integral Coaching Principles (ICP) class. Either one will satisfy the requirement; you need not take both.
However, in cases where scheduling is a problem, it's possible for us to consider your application before you've completed the prerequisite. In such cases, we may ask to speak by phone before we respond to your application. And, you must register for the prerequisite at the time that you are accepted into the PCC and complete it before Session Two of the PCC for which you are registered.

When to take it
We recommend (and prefer) that applicants complete their prerequisite before applying to the PCC, so they have a firsthand sense of our work before committing themselves to the yearlong program. In fact, recommendation by the CTE or ICP leader is part of our process in determining your readiness for the PCC.However, in cases where scheduling is a problem, it's possible for us to consider your application before you've completed the prerequisite. No exceptions
There are no exceptions to the prerequisites. No amount of previous experience or education counts as a substitute; the work in these classes is essential to the PCC. If you have not taken the prerequisite before starting the PCC, failure to complete it by Session Two will mean you cannot continue in the program.Coaching to Excellence

What Our Graduates Are Saying about the Professional Coaching Course
"I am a much better coach as a result of the PCC. My skill in assessing clients and designing appropriate coaching programs has increased significantly. I am more confident in trusting and acting on the information I get from my body when I am with a client, and invariably this leads to more powerful conversations between us. And I have much greater capacity to be both challenging and compassionate in those conversations."
