Born and raised in eastern Iowa, I spent 25 years in the field of education as a classroom teacher, a high school basketball coach, and a consultant working primarily with athletic programs. In 2026, I transitioned into a new career as a leadership and personal development coach after graduating from the New Ventures West PCC program.

When I look back at my leadership experiences, I spent the vast majority of my time and effort mastering my craft. I knew the game of basketball as well as anyone, and our programs won multiple state championships. However, what I lacked was a deeper understanding of myself. For years I operated from patterns that ultimately undermined my effectiveness, and twice cost me my job.

As I work with leaders and performers in high achieving environments I am discovering that I am not alone. Many of us have never taken the time to explore our inner world - I want to offer myself as a companion to others who are interested in making that journey of self-discovery.

The integral coaching experience has changed my life. I have found freedom from destructive patterns, have overcome traumatic job loss, and have found an aliveness that allows me to experience the present moment more fully than ever before. This is not without its challenges - but having done the work with my own coach - I have known the power of a committed, coaching presence. That is a gift I want to offer others who may need it.
