Marcia Poppe
Marcia transitioned from a 27-year career in Architecture to Integral Coaching between 2018 and 2022, bringing a unique, integrated perspective to the field of Human Development. Her coaching practice invites a spirit of inquiry into individuals and organizations through a sensitive, empowering, and sustainable approach. She supports leaders, executives, architects and creatives to develop greater self-awareness and authentic leadership presence, honoring both the structural foundations of professional practice and the emergent, evolving nature of human consciousness.
In a field of encouragement and anchoring ground, her clients are called into closer contact with their mind, body, heart and soul in an integral way. This approach enables them to engage more intentionally in the environments they inhabit and embrace the profound responsibility of fostering spaces and relationships that nurture growth in all dimensions – personal, professional and societal. Through tailored programs designed to achieve specific developmental and leadership outcomes, combining inquiry, self-reflection and somatic practices, Marcia invites clients into a new way of being, in which they find, in time, more purpose, ease, joy and relaxation to navigate the world’s complexities.
Marcia also facilitates nature immersion experiences that emphasize contemplative practices, body movement, and creative expression. Clients are guided through a path of inner inquiry and curiosity while experiencing being held by nature's healing force. She uses an integral and holistic approach, drawn from her professional and spiritual life practices, as much as from her strong and deep connection to nature.
Her master's thesis in 2004 explored the phenomenology of architectural creation through the study of the Benedictine monastery of Nossa Senhora das Graças in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, examining how an architect’s way of inhabiting the world can shape the spaces they design and the meanings those spaces convey. This research revealed Architecture as a space of inquiry that transcends established boundaries and integrates multiple perspectives, ways of knowing and of being in the world, emerging from the intersection of designer, inhabitant and the built environment.
In addition to her Integral Coaching certification, Marcia is certified in the Spiritual Intelligence Assessment (SQ21™), and holds a PMP® credential from the Project Management Institute. Her volunteer work currently includes serving as a Board Member at the Brazilian Integral Institute. She was also a volunteer Member of the Knowledge Management Committee at the PMI Rio de Janeiro Chapter for two consecutive years.
